This is a fantastic little game. It’s a simple, casual puzzler wrapped in a spooky story about a ghostly rocker who is being bullied by another ghost, and calls in a human ghost hunter to get his guitar back.
The game involves exploring haunted houses, solving simple puzzles, trying to find the secrets, and snagging mischievous spirits along the way. The game is easy enough that kids will be able to get to the end of the levels without getting frustrated, but the added layer of finding the secrets will provide challenge for the adults who play. And the environments are fun to explore.
Overall, the Phantom PI is just straight-up charming. Though it’s got a theme of ghosts and haunted houses, it’s done in an entirely kid-friendly way, with humor and a light mood. (If you’re looking for survival horror, this isn’t it.) I found it to be very engaging and fun. Thumbs up!
